Meet Dr. Dave Roberts
Dr. Roberts received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Illinois Dental School in 1985. He then completed a two-year General Practice Residency (1985–1987) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he received extensive training in dental surgery, implant surgery, and sedation procedures.
Dr. Roberts has been practicing dentistry in Dallas since 1987. Over the course of his career, he has extracted more than 200,000 teeth, including all levels of impacted third molars, full-mouth extractions, impacted canines, and coronectomies. In addition, he has performed over 35,000 IV moderate sedation procedures, reflecting decades of experience in dental surgical and sedation-based care.
In recognition of his early leadership and clinical excellence, Dr. Roberts was named Young Dentist of the Year for Dallas County in 1990. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Hospital Dentistry (FAHD) and served on the Dallas County Dental Society Board of Directors from 1992 to 1996, later serving as President of the North Texas Dental Society (NTDS) from 2005 to 2006.
Committed to education and the advancement of dentistry, Dr. Roberts served for over a decade as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and continues to lecture nationally on topics including general dental surgery, IV sedation, patient safety, and access to care. He also co-founded the Koerner Center for Surgical Instruction, which provides advanced oral surgery continuing education to dentists across the country.

Where did you study dentistry?

Additionally, Dr. Roberts served for over a decade as an adjunct assistant professor at the UTHSCSA, and he lectures nationally in the areas of dental surgery and IV sedation. Throughout his career, he has actively advocated for improvements in both dental safety and access to care in numerous venues. He also co-founded the Koerner Center for Surgical Instruction, which provides continuing education training courses in oral surgery to dentists across the country.
Outside the Office
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Roberts and his wife, Kristal, stay busy raising their four children, along with their six dogs and two horses. They are lifelong, avid tennis players and enjoy spending time with family and friends while remaining actively engaged in their community. Dr. Roberts values the balance between professional excellence and personal connection, believing both are essential to a fulfilling life and meaningful patient care.
