If you’ve ever wanted to take a closer look at the inside of your own mouth, you’re in luck – our state-of-the-art intraoral scanner can accomplish just that! Dr. Shaik inserts the scanner-tipped wand into the patient’s mouth, and right away, high-quality images are transported to a convenient monitor in the operatory. This clear visual aid helps us better explain areas of decay or other problems your smile is facing, the effects of certain treatments, and even how to brush and floss more effectively.
Digital X-Rays
In the past, X-rays were developed on traditional film, developed slowly in a darkroom, and stored in bulky filing cabinets. Today, we’re proud to have greatly improved this essential process by investing in digital radiography from the industry leader Schick instead. Now, high-resolution X-rays of our patients’ smiles can be captured, sent to our computer system, and displayed for easy viewing within seconds! They can even be magnified and color-coded as needed to help our patients better understand what they’re seeing. You don’t have to worry about dangerous radiation, either – with digital X-rays, radiation exposure is reduced by up to 80% when compared to traditional radiography.
